Welcome to Chambers and Bodell, the online home of the Legend of Alintoo Island.
It is a crisp and bright morning in Portsmouth, England, sometime in the early 20th Century. A small ship embarks on a voyage across the Atlantic Ocean carrying captain and crew, and a pair of ecological scholars named C.Chambers and F.Bodell, along with a few of their associates. Destined for the Americas, Chambers, Bodell, and their team are tasked with the completion of an extensive ecological survey and report.
Nearing the mid-point of their journey, a storm is brewing and the seas become turbulent. Thrown off-course and into a thick fog by the wrath of nature, with a damaged vessel and an under-performing engine, they happen upon an island towards which they now travel in search of help.
Slowly moving down a winding river, the two ecologists-turned-explorers gaze with a cautious fascination towards the heavily-vegetated banks on either side of the ship. There is someone, or something among the bushes watching them. As the river widens, there is more movement between the trees as increasing numbers of figures move with the ship, constantly watching. Who are they? Can they help? The vessel gently chugs around a final bend in the river and out into a vast lake with the sunlight bouncing blindingly off the shimmering water.
What will Chambers and Bodell find on this previously undiscovered island? Who will they meet and how will they get help? Only one thing is certain: their originally-planned report will detail significantly different discoveries. Little do they know that what lies ahead will be wondrously astonishing...
